Are you ready for the National Conference on Communications? This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills and creativity in the field of ICT. The conference will take place at the beginning of Term 3 at Kyambogo University, one of the leading institutions of higher learning in Uganda.

As a way of taking ICT to the grassroots in the name of “ICT for All”, the Club Competitions will be held at district, regional, and finally national levels. This is a chance for students at Primary and Secondary levels to compete with their peers from different schools and regions, and to learn from the best practices and innovations in ICT. They will also get to network with experts, mentors, and potential employers in the industry.

Last year, The 7th National Conference on Communications (NCC) 2022 was organized by UCC and held at Makerere University, CEDAT. The Winners of the ICT Clubs Section were St. Mary’s College Kisubi, Tororo Girls’ School, and St. Henry’s College Kitovu in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions respectively.

Starting the competitions from the district level will cater for inclusion and help to bring in more schools from rural and underserved areas. Participants will be able to explore how ICT can contribute to various sectors such as education, health, agriculture, governance, and more. They will also be able to present their own projects and ideas that can make a positive impact on society.

The ICT Clubs section is coordinated by KAWA Uganda, a national provider of professional development services to enhance learning outcomes for educators, schools, and children around the country.
