AI or Not?
Artificial intelligence is used when systems learn or apply patterns to make predictions, generate outputs, recognise content or support decisions. Not every digital tool is AI.
The system produces new text based on the prompt and learned patterns.
It follows fixed arithmetic rules and does not need learned patterns.
Pattern-recognition models can identify visual features.
The document displays stored information but does not make predictions or generate content.
Modern translation tools commonly use machine-learning models.
A model can compare a plant image with learned patterns and suggest likely categories.
