Welcome to ICT Clubs Uganda
ICT Clubs Uganda is a UCC programme created to help schools provide learners with structured opportunities to practise digital skills, exercise leadership, work in teams and develop technology-supported solutions.
Our clubs are not simply groups of learners who enjoy computers. They are supervised school communities that connect practical skills, digital responsibility, computer laboratory sustainability, project development, peer learning, career awareness and learner innovation.
Our purpose is to help learners become creators rather than passive consumers of technology. Members are encouraged to investigate problems, design possible responses, build prototypes, test their ideas, communicate evidence and improve their work through feedback.
Our school model recognises the important roles of headteachers, patrons, assistant patrons, subject teachers, laboratory managers, parents, mentors and learner leaders. An ICT Club becomes sustainable when these people work together.
ICT Clubs initiative supports school-based learner communities where young people develop practical digital skills, guide projects, mentor one another, care for school technology and apply innovation to real school and community challenges.
Through trained patrons, active learner leadership, practical activities, project mentorship, competitions and school follow-up, ICT Clubs help learners move from basic computer use to confident, responsible and creative participation in the digital world.

Our Growing ICT Club Network
Through support from UCUSAF, KAWA Uganda has supported 283 ICT Clubs through club establishment, patron development, learner activities, project mentorship, competitions, computer laboratory guidance and school follow-up.
A National Patron Network
ICT Club patrons from schools across Uganda are connected through training, online consultations, professional communities, project clinics and resource sharing.
School, Regional and National Opportunities
Learners can progress from school-level activities and exhibitions to regional competitions, national showcases, mentorship and wider innovation opportunities.
Evidence-Based School Follow-Up
ICT Clubs Uganda follows participating schools to understand what patrons implemented, what learners are doing, what evidence exists and what support is needed next.
