Kongunga High School ICT Club at the Regional School ICT Clubs Competition-2022

Kongunga High School presents a Fingerprint Based Biometric Attendance and Body Temperature System at the 7^th ICT Clubs Regional National Conference on Communications -2022 held on 8th June, 2022at Hotel Paradise on the Nile.

Kongunga High School ICT Club Overview

In 2020, there was an outbreak of Covid19 which led to the closure of all sectors in the country and One of the most affected sector was education. According to the ministry of Health one of the measures to reduce the spread of Covid19 in the education sector was to record temperature and attendance of all students on a daily basis. This measure brought in lots of challenges where students were to record all their details in a book which could bring in congestion and delay in terms of writing. As ICT students we thought of addressing that problem by designing a fingerprint sensor based biometric attendance and Fingerprint Based Biometric Attendance and Temperature System to automate the system that records daily attendance and body temperature in line with the ministry of health guidelines.
